Series 2 sees the continuation of the budding romance between ex-con Miri Matteson (Daisy Haggard) and boy-next-door, Billy (Adeel Akhtar), with the two set to commence their first not-date-date. Whilst their encounters seem blundering and awkward, and involving far too many of Billy’s ex-wife’s butt plugs for either of their liking, the two are optimistic about their developing friendship and relationship. But, whilst Miri’s keen to put her past firmly in her rear-view mirror, the return of Lara’s father, John Boback, is likely to complicate things—for both her and Billy.
