CHEAT cast includes Katherine Kelly, BAFTA winning Molly Windsor and Tom Goodman-Hill

18 June 2018

Katherine Kelly and Molly Windsor take the leading roles in our gripping, psychological thriller for ITV, Cheat.

The four-part miniseries begins filming this month and screenwriting newcomer Gaby Hull skillfully writes each of the episodes.

At the heart of the drama is the dangerous relationship between university professor Leah (Katherine Kelly), and her student Rose (Molly Windsor), when, what begins as a seemingly open and shut case of academic deception, quickly spirals out of control, ending in fatal consequences, and triggering a devastating sequence of events that threaten to engulf them both. With two fiercely intelligent minds unwilling to back down, Cheat will keep audiences guessing from the start, exploring just how far we’re prepared to stand up for what we believe, and at what cost.

Katherine Kelly is known for her work in Strike Back, Him and The Night Manager, whilst Molly Windsor recently won a BAFTA for her role in Three Girls.

Tom Goodman-Hill (Humans, The Secret Agent, Mr Selfridge) also joins the cast as Leah’s university professor boyfriend, James, whilst Lorraine Ashbourne (Unforgotten, The Interceptor, Silent Witness) and Peter Firth (Spooks, Strike Back, Victoria) play her parents Angela and Michael. Adrian Edmondson (Bancroft, Retribution, War & Peace) takes the role of Rose’s father, William.

Julien Baptiste will return…

4 April 2018

From Harry and Jack Williams comes Baptiste; a thrilling new drama starring Tchéky Karyo as the insightful but stubborn investigator Julien Baptiste. Produced by Two Brothers Pictures for BBC One in association with all3media International who are handling international sales.
When Julien and his wife are on a visit to Amsterdam, the Chief of Police – who also happens to be an old girlfriend – seeks out his help due to his renowned and methodical crime solving skills. Baptiste is rapidly embroiled in a case that looks beyond the beautiful streets, canals and houses of Amsterdam to the seamy underworld beneath.

Karyo says: “Julien Baptiste is very dear to me, so I’m really excited to be following his journey to the streets of Amsterdam and seeing what dark secrets he unveils this time. No doubt he’ll continue to take great risks all in the name of justice.”

Harry and Jack Williams say: “Julien Baptiste lives! It’s an absolute pleasure to be writing the character of Baptiste again, and working with the utterly brilliant Tchéky Karyo, who brings such depth and individuality to Julien.”

Piers Wenger, Controller of BBC Drama, says: “Julien Baptiste – played by the exceptional Tchéky Karo – is one of the Williams brothers’ greatest creations and utterly deserving of his own show. This first series of Baptiste will allow us to discover more about Julien than ever before as he is parachuted into the centre of a shocking and wide-ranging crime story.”

Filming starts later this year in Amsterdam and Belgium.

Executive Producers are Harry and Jack Williams and Christopher Aird for Two Brothers Pictures and Tommy Bulfin for the BBC. The Producer is John Griffin.

Baptiste is commissioned by Charlotte Moore, BBC Director of Content and Piers Wenger, BBC Controller of Drama Commissioning.
